MATRIMONY IS NOT SOMETHING TO RUSH INTO--OMAWUMI

Matrimony is not something to rush into and I intend to live by that. I will not fall for the pressure of marriage because if I do and in the end something goes wrong, the same people will ask why I didn’t take my time.

I don’t think it is a bad thing to take my time to understand the person I intend to get married to. I am not as strong minded as you seem to believe. I just have a lot of confidence in myself and in the God I serve and the people around me. If I said nothing breaks me, that is lie, but not much can.

Over 100 people were burnt to death in an accident involving three heavy vehicles a fuel tanker with registration number GA 71 XA, a Young Shall Grow Motors luxury bus and a Dangote truck carrying cement at Igbogui village in Benin.The fuel tanker exploded following the accident. The fire spread to surrounding shops and burnt several cars packed nearby.

WESLEY SNIPES RELEASED FROM PRISON

    Snipes was released on April 2 and transferred to the New York Community Corrections Office, which will oversee his home confinement. 

Home confinement (aka house arrest) will end July 19.

Snipes checked into McKean Federal Correctional Institution in Pennsylvania back in December 2010 after he was convicted for failing to file federal income tax returns.

B-Red walks out on Davido's HKN record label

                   

According to Leadership.ng all is not well within the camp of the  HKN Record label. Davido's cousin and artist B-Red has left the record label owned by Davido and his elder brother, Wale Adeleke.

There are reports that B-Red signed a deal with D'Ark Entertainmentcompany last week, the deal which will see the company handle B-Redmusical career.This new development is coming on the heels of a sharp disagreement within the HKN gang over why the outfit has focussed more on Davido to the detriment of other artistes,  Sina Rambo (Shina Adeleke) and B-Red (Bayo Adeleke) known to be Davido's hype mate at different concerts. Both of them cousins of the rising hiphop star Davido are obviously not happy that their music career  were not given much attention. This  showed when the duo were conspicuously absent at the memorial celeberation gig of Davido's late mum sometime last month.It was gathered that Sina Rambo and B-red had a heated arguement which led to a fight with Davido a month ago at their Atlanta home in US.Properties were said to be damaged as a result of the fight. B-Red and Sina Rambo who are sons of the elder brother of Davido's father, a very wealthy Nigerian in his own right

Oshiomhole: From factory to Government House..HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY THE COMRADE GOVERNOR!!!

SIXTY years ago, in Iyamoh,Edo state, Hadjia Aishetu and Alhaji Aliyu Oshiomhole were blessed with a baby boy whom they named Adams Aliyu  Aihanegboye Oshiomhole.  Those familiar with the names say Aihanegboye means “The wicked will not catch up with you”.

The young Adams as if in a hurry to fulfill his destiny, in 1969, took up a job with Arewa Textiles Company Kaduna.   He got the job after he convinced the personnel manager that though he was small in stature, he was physically and mentally fit for the job.

From then on, there was no stopping Adams Oshiomhole.  In 1971, his colleagues at work saw in him, the qualities of a selfless leader when he organized a shop floor revolution. Consequently, he  was elected  union secretary.  His determination to   improve the lot of fellow workers, led him to become a full time trade unionist with the Textile Workers union in 1975.

During his activities as a shop floor worker, he met a beautiful lady, Clara at the union’s office.   Clara was then a secretary with the trade union. Adams got help from Clara who helped to type his letters to employers.  Within the struggle, he found time to propose to Clara who married him.

Growing up.
GROWING up was splendid. I grew up at Ajao Estate in Lagos. I am the sixth in a family of nine. My dad spoilt us silly. He was fond of showering us with gifts to bribe us for not always being around as he used to travel a lot, he was always travelling out of the country back then. I was very mischievous and was never tired of playing pranks. My parents and siblings are abroad now. I attended the popular A/Z International School owned by Princess Bola Jegede. I attended Kwara State Polythecnic and later proceeded to Lagos State University where I studied Theatre Arts. I also attended the Nigerian French Language Village, Badagry. I am planning to further my education by attending New York Film Academy in the United States to study filming, directing and cinematography.

Popular Business man and socialite,Lanre Nzeribe ,has dragged Stella Dimokokorkus to court for publishing what he claims are untrue stories about him .Lanre who is currently dating Nollywood actress,Monalisa Chinda,is alleged to have dated several women such as Liz Benson,and Stella Damascus who is married his cousin Emeka Nzeribe

 Through a lawsuit filed by his lawyer,he has given her 48hrs to reverse the story published on her blog,and write a well crafted apology or face a five hundred million naira (N500,000,000) lawsuit as damages caused by the report...

COMEDIAN/SINGER MALEKE APPOINTED EDO GOVERNOR'S SSA ON ENTERTAINMENT MATTERS

The governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole has appointed an up and coming comedian, Maleke as his Senior Special Adviser (SSA) on Entertainment Matters. 

Maleke is also a singer well known for his hit single 'Low Waist'. He is fondly called the Miniwana Master by many. 

Maleke has now joined the likes of entertainers in Nigeria who are serving on government or the other in Nigeria. 

More recent is the appointment of Bob Manuel Ndokwu as an SSA. Nkiru Sylvanus is also serving a government in Imo State just like RMD is doing as a Commissioner in Delta State.
