“There is no society where laws are not broken, but the state government would continue to increase its enforcement so that there will be high level of compliance”, he said.Fashola added that the arrested policeman would be handed over to the state`s Commissioner of Police for prosecution.

With $6.4 billion Folorunsho Alakija Is The Richest Black Woman in The World!!!

According to a Ventures Africa article Mrs Folorusho Alakija is now the richest black woman in the world not media mogul Oprah Winfrey (who is worth 2.7 billion dollars). The article breaks down Mrs Alakija’s total net worth and pegs it at $6.4 billion not $600 Million as stated in last week’s Forbes Africa Top 40 Africa Rich List which put her at Number 21.
The details of her wealth
According to Fool.co.uk, OML 30 currently produces 35,000 barrels of oil per day.
So, if 45 percent of a 35,000 bpd-producing oil bloc is $850 million, 100 percent of the same bloc = $1.88 billion i.e 100/45 x $850 million
If a 100 percent stake in a 35,000 bpd-producing oil bloc is $1.88 billion, by the same logic, a 100 percent stake in 200,000 bpd-producing oil bloc is worth $10.74 billion i.e 200,000 bpd/35,000 bpd X $1.88 billion
Folorunsho Alakija’s 60 percent stake in a $10.74 billion oil well is worth $6.44 billion.
Technically, her 60 percent stake in OML 127 is worth $6.44 billion.
Another comparator: In November 2012, French oil group Total announced that it was selling a 20 percent stake in its Nigerian offshore oil field to China’s Sinopec in a $2.5 billion deal. The block in question, OML 138 is a 180,000 bpd facility.
So, if a 20 percent stake in an 180,000 bpd facility offshore block is worth $2.5 billion, the entire block is worth $12.5 billion i.e 100/20 x $2.5 billion. Since a 180,000 bpd-producing facility is worth $12.5 billion, a 200,000 bpd-producing facility is worth $13.8 billion because 200,000/180,000 x $12.5 billion.
Using the Total-Sinopec deal as the yardstick, we could also value OML 127 at $13.8 billion. In that case, her 60 percent stake would be worth $8.3 billion.
But to be conservative, we prefer to go with the lower valuation of $6.44 billion.
On Debt
Ventures Africa reached out to Famfa Limited to comment, but the company declined to divulge any information regarding any long-term or short-term debt. We have no idea on how much debt (if any, the company has), but even if we take the high side, and subtract 50 percent of the value of her stake for debt, that still gives her 60 percent stake in OML 127 a market value of $3.2 billion, which makes her richer than the $2.7 billion Oprah Winfrey is worth according to Forbes Magazine’s last rankings.
Real Estate: $100 million
Folorunsho Alakija also has a real estate portfolio worth over $100 million.  Earlier this year, Nigerian and British media announced that Alakija acquired a property at One Hyde Park for $102 million.
A source at Famfa Oil who asked for anonymity indeed confirmed that Mrs. Alakija actually acquired the property at One Hyde Park.

Battle Of The Bling! Kris Humphries Wants His Engagement Ring Back

Kris Humphries wants the gigantic engagement ring back that he gave to Kim Kardashian, but the reality star is steadfastly refusing to return it to her husband of just 72 daysRadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
As we previously reported, the basketball player scored a huge discount on the massive bauble, which was valued at a retail price of $2 million, but he still splashed out a cool $750,000 of his hard earned cash for the stunning 20.5 carat diamond Lorraine Schwartz ring, and believes Kardashian should do the right thing and give it back.

"Kris is adamant that he wants the ring back," a source close to the situation tells RadarOnline.com. "And it's becoming a real sticking point between his and Kim's attorneys. She has made it plain that she has no intention of returning it though and feels she is within her legal right to refuse as she went through with the wedding. However, Kris contends that the marriage was a total sham and that Kim only wed him for publicity so therefore she has no right to keep such an expensive gift.
"Kris doesn't understand why Kim would even want to keep the ring anyway. It obviously has no sentimental value as she has publicly declared their wedding as 'a huge mistake' and she certainly doesn't need the money, so why doesn't she just return it to him?"

ANGELES (AP) — Lindsay Lohan was charged Thursday with crimes in New York and Los Angeles, marking her latest setbacks as she tries to revive her career and avoid a return to jail.
Prosecutors in Santa Monica charged Lohan with three misdemeanors related to a June accident. Hours earlier, the actress was arrested and charged with third-degree assault after a woman was punched in a New York City nightclub.
The California charges came about six months after Lohan's Porsche crashed into the back of a dump truck. She told police her assistant was driving, but detectives now believe the actress was behind the wheel as she headed to a movie set.

‘How my daughter’s fiancé bathed her with acid’

Chika and Sulaimon
The motive behind the acid bath of 22-year-old Chika Egbo by her estranged lover, David Sulaimon, remains elusive, but one thing is sure, the victim may not remain the same again.
Chika is a student of the Enugu State College of Education.
Last Tuesday, when our correspondent visited her at the Burns Unit of the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja, Egbo has become a shadow of the beautiful girl she was.
The substance Sulaimon allegedly poured on her had destroyed every visible skin from her chest upwards.
She mumbled to her father, a Taraba State-based businessman, as she could neither see nor speak properly at the time.
When her father, Matthew Egbo, narrated the incident that led to Chika’s state, the story brought tears to his eyes as he lamented that his daughter would never be normal again.
Matthew said, “In March 2011, someone who identified himself as Lekan Sulaimon called me, asking for my daughter’s hand in marriage. We talked a lot and I promised to speak with Chika on the issue.
“My daughter later told me he was the boy she was in love with and said she had resolved to marry him.”

'I never said the baby is not mine' - K Solo

The fact that I divorced Kike doesn't mean I denounced the baby. You can take the wife of a lazy man but not his child. When he grows up he will identify his father. I never said it's not my baby and I don't know why people actually said so, maybe because she didn't bring the baby to me when he was delivered. I impregnated her, though a lot of fornication might have gone on during the pregnancy. I know my love and she (Kike) is just a baby mama.
The ex-couple welcomed a son on October 26th. Two days later, K-solo's management released the statement you see above.

Sanusi to FG: Sack 50% of civil servants

The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Lamido Sanusi
Central Bank of Nigeria  Governor Mallam Sanusi Lamido on Tuesday lamented the high cost of servicing the nation’s  civil service and called on the Federal Government to fire at least 50 per cent of its entire workforce.
Sanusi, in his presentation at the  Second Annual Capital Market Committee Retreat in Warri, Delta State,  said the country  spends  70 per cent of its earnings on salaries and entitlements of civil servants.
He argued that having the Federal Government’s staff strength reduced by half would free up capital for infrastructure development in the country and buoy the economy.
The CBN governor had in a lecture  last year claimed that 25 per cent of the overheads of the Federal Government budget went to the National Assembly.
“Twenty five per cent of the overhead of the Federal Government budget goes to National Assembly. I have figures from the office of budget for the year 2010. Total government overhead is N536, 268,49, 280. Total overhead of the National Assembly is N136,259,768, 112 which is exactly 25.1 per cent of Federal Government overhead. The overhead of the National Assembly as a percentage of the Federal Government budget in 2009 was 19. 87 and in 2008 was 14.19”, he had  said.
Sanusi, at the retreat on Tuesday, advocated a more compact and less expensive system of government that would reduce overhead costs.
