Civil society activists in Nigeria staged a public protest to demand government action in rescuing some 230 girls abducted from a government high school in Chibok, Borno state. The girls were abducted from their boarding school in the night by militants from the dreaded Islamic sect Boko Haram.
Leading the protest was former minister, Oby Ezekwesi. The protesters defied rain to present their demands to the leadership of the national Assembly in Abuja.See more pics after cut..
