Two sisters die in collapsed building


Eight other buildings with cracked walls in the area have been marked for demolition
Two sisters have been confirmed dead after a two-storey building, Block M20, Jakande Estate, at Church Street, Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos, collapsed on Wednesday at dawn. The victims, said to be in their mid-twenties, were pulled out from the debris dead, while their injured mother was taken to the hospital by officials of the Nigerian Red Cross Society. Some other buildings around the vicinity were noticed to have severe cracks. The buildings were erected about 30 years ago.
