Court strikes out order seeking to stop coroner’s inquest on Dana Air crash

Most of the bodies were burnt beyond recognition
The organisation that instituted the suit will pay N10,000 to the Lagos State government.
The Federal High Court, sitting in Lagos, has struck out an order of interlocutory injunction seeking to restrain the Lagos State government from holding a Coroner’s inquest on the crashed Dana airline.
The court awarded the sum of N10,000 to be paid to the state government by the Civil Aviation Roundtable Initiative, who instituted the suit.
The ruling means that the inquest can continue pending the outcome of the substantive suit.
The court also fixed October 11 for the hearing of parties who wish to join in the substantive suit.
